Centre Joe Bedlow joined the Sharks Academy from Myerscough College at the age of XX, but he’s not the first Bedlow to grace the halls of Carrington.
Older brother Sam spent his formative years at the club before joining Bristol Bears, where he’s gone on to become a fixture in the midfield. And that’s not the end of the family’s connection to rugby. Dad Andy is a coach at Rossendale Rugby Club and eldest brother Tom plays in the fourth tier of English rugby.
Joe made his first appearance for the Sharks first team in a Premiership Rugby Cup fixture against Newcastle Falcons at the AJ Bell Stadium in November, 2021.
