Eva Wood

Winger Eva Wood joined Sale from the Worcester Warriors Centre of Excellence in 2022, just four years after picking up a rugby ball for the first time at Old Halesonians RFC, in Stourbridge, where Eva’s dad and brother both played. 

She went on to represent Old Halesonians, as well as North Midlands RFC and Worcester Warriors, before making the move north to become a Shark. 

Eva has played for England U18s at Sevens level and been called up to the England U20s squad, although injury prevented her from making an appearance. 

Outside the game, Eva studies medicine at the University of Manchester.
