Towering second row Ellis Causey came to the attentions of Sharks academy coaches when he was put forward for a DPP session by his teacher at Standish Community High School.
From there he went on to the familiar Sharks breeding ground of Kirkham Grammar School for sixth form and he combined his studies with his rugby at Liverpool St Helens RUFC.
A keen golfer, Ellis was picked for England’s under 18 side for their clash against Italy in August 2021 and names his parents as his biggest influences for their dedication in taking him to “endless training sessions and games.”
