Sale Sharks prop WillGriff John has signed a new one-year contract to stay at the club where he began his Premiership career.
The 32-year-old tighthead, who starred for Wales in the 2025 Six Nations, originally joined Sharks in 2017 from Championship side Doncaster and made 82 appearances for the club in four seasons before joining Scarlets.
He represented Scarlets for two seasons, making 19 appearances and appearing for Wales for the first time, before leaving to join French side Racing 92 on a short-term deal.

He re-joined Sharks last season as injury cover but that was extended until the end of the current campaign.
His form led to a call-up for January’s Six Nations competition, where he played three times, and now he’s signed a new deal keeping him at the club until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Sharks Director of Rugby Alex Sanderson said: “WillGriff John coming home and finding form was a big win for both him and for us as coaches. For him to then make the Wales squad and perform so well on the international stage has been a real fairytale.

“He moved on from here a couple of years ago for the right reasons but we’re so happy he’s back here and I’m loving working with him.
“I hope this is just the start because I’d love him to finish his career with us.”
WillGriff said: “The club means an awful lot to me and that’s why I was so happy to have the opportunity to return last season. It really felt like I was coming home.
“There are so many high quality players in the squad that I love learning from and playing with and I really believe we have the ability to do something special here.
“I can’t wait to play my part in it.”
