Sale Sharks fly-half Tom Curtis has committed his future to his boyhood club by signing a new three-year contract.
The 22-year-old, who has made almost 40 first team appearances for Sale since his first team debut in 2019, began his rugby journey relatively late, starting at secondary school as a 12-year-old before joining the Sharks Academy.
Manchester-born fly half Tom has represented England at U18 level.
Tom said: “I’m so happy that my future is secured for the next three years. It means I can fully focus on growing as a player and a person and I have no doubt that Sale is the right place for me to do that.
“I’m really looking forward to continuing to push for more first team games and improving as a player by learning from the brilliant coaches and players at the club.
“This club has such a bright future and I’m so happy to be a part of it.”
Sharks Director of Rugby Alex Sanderson said: “Tom is an academy prospect who is maturing in to a proper player, learning and growing week to week alongside other world class players such as George Ford and Rob du Preez who are within his peer group.
“Through his dedication and professionalism Tom is already one of the best athletes in the game whilst developing his decision making ability to match.
“He leads with a maturity that belies his age and drives the players around him leading by example through his work ethic. If the future at Sale is one with Tom as the fly half at the helm, then the future looks bright.”
