Versatile front-row forward Molly Wright made her debut for Sale Sharks Women against Loughborough Lightning in late 2021 after joining from Scottish side Watsonians.
Originally from New Zealand, Molly started playing rugby in Reefton at the age of four, before playing senior club and provincial rugby in Otago and Canterbury.
She moved to the UK in 2016 and joined Watsonians, in Edinburgh, and after gaining residency in her adopted country, scored on her debut for Scotland in January 2020.
She went on to play a part in Scotland’s first World Cup qualification in 12 years, and featured in the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand in 2022.
Molly is contracted full-time to Scottish Rugby and outside rugby, works as a physiotherapist.
Equally comfortable in either prop position or at hooker, Molly names All Black Kevin Mealamu as her sporting hero.
