Back row Will Riley grew up in Altrincham and has been a dedicated Sharks fan since he was a young lad.
He attended St Vincent's Primary School, in Altrincham, before moving onto St Ambrose College and then Kirkham Grammar School, where he was on a rugby scholarship for sixth form.
A keen fisherman and motorbike enthusiast, Will started playing for Altrincham Kersal at the age of six after his dad took him to a Sunday morning training session. He represented the club for ten years, and captained them for seven of them. He joined the Sharks DPP at the age of 13.
Will says his dad, who died in 2018, will always be his biggest inspiration and influence but he also names Kersal coaches Eamonn Dunne and Mathew Burke as having had a big impact on his young career.
