Versatile back Aaron Pope grew up on the Isle of Man and played for Douglas Rugby Club until the age of 12 when he, along with his brother, moved to the mainland to continue their rugby and education at Kirkham Grammar School.
Equally at home at fly-half or in the centre, Aaron first joined the Sale Sharks DPP at the age of 12, while he was training with the junior teams at Preston Grasshoppers, before progressing through the academy system.
As another former Kirkhamian, Aaron cites the school’s rugby coaching staff as the biggest influence on his career so far.
