Prop Tumy Onasanya burst into the wider schools rugby public’s consciousness early on in 2020 when he was named in the extended England U18 squad.  

The Pendleton 6th Form College loosehead actually started off playing rugby league between the ages of 12 and 16, representing Lancashire and making the Warrington Wolves academy team. 

After switching to union, Tumy represented Lancashire U18s, the North of England U18s and England at both U18 and U20 level. 

Tumy made his Sharks debut against Wasps in 2022 and then made his first start against Exeter in the 2022/23 Premiership Rugby Cup.
