There are seven changes to the starting XV that faced Exeter, with Sale F.C. graduate Willow Bell earning her first season start
Sale Sharks Women have announced their team to face Saracens at the StoneX stadium this Sunday in their last Allianz Cup game of 2021.
Willow Bell earns her first start of the season and is named at scrum-half. The 19-year-old has been electric off the bench so far, her rapid distribution even seeing Sharks make in-roads into Exeter’s 22 at the tail-end of last weekend’s defeat.
Rugby league dual-coder Rachel Woosey moves to right wing with Vicky Irwin slotting in at full-back. Alex Wallace, whose last match involvement came against Gloucester back in September, starts on the left.
With Mhairi Grieve not included in the matchday 23, the mantle of vice-captain passes to the cool-headed Lizzie Duffy who retains the 10 shirt. Laura Perrin partners in the centre with Sharks leading try-scorer Hollie Bawden.
In the forwards, Hannah Davis enters the starting XV, joining Skye Wilson in the front row who once again starts at hooker.
Georgie Perris-Redding replaces Rachel McLachlan at openside flanker, with Teleri Wyn Davis earning her first season start at eight.
The indomitable Beth Stafford captains from second-row.
