The Sale Sharks Women coaching team have named their side to face Exeter Chiefs Women in round two of the 2021-22 Allianz Premier 15’s. The Sharks make four changes to their starting XV ahead of this weekend’s trip to the South-West as Katy Daley-Mclean hands number 8 Amy Orrow her full club debut.
Following a narrow defeat to Worcester Warriors in round one the Sharks deploy another experienced outfit to face the Chiefs as international duo Gwen Pyrs and Scarlett Fielding take their place in the front row alongside Hannah Davies.
Captain Beth Stafford moves from her usual position of number 8 into the second row in the absence of Molly Morrisey with Wales star Teleri Wyn Davis joining Beth at lock. Vicky Irwin and Lucy Winter remain in their respective positions in the back row, and are joined by debutant Amy Orrow at number 8.
Jess Kavanagh replaces Jodie Ounsley on the left wing in the only change to the Sharks back-line. Ounsley is unavailable for selection due to her inclusion the GB sevens squad, but the Sharks backs remain bursting with talent.
Mhairi Grieve and Katy Daley-Mclean will marshal the side at half-back on Sunday and the experienced pair have the powerful Laura Perrin and Holly Bawden outside them in the centres. Lisa Nuemann, Jess Kavanagh and Vicky Irwin make up the Sale back three.
