CREEVY SET TO LEAVE SALE SHARKS

Sale Sharks can confirm that Argentina legend Agustin Creevy will leave the club at the end of the 2023/24 Gallagher Premiership season.

The 39-year-old hooker, who is the Pumas’ most capped player of all time, joined Sharks on a one-year deal at the start of the current season.

Fans’ favourite ‘Gus’ has gone on to make 13 appearances for the club, scoring five tries, including one on his debut against Gloucester in November.

Sharks Director of Rugby Alex Sanderson said: “When we signed Gus I said his experience and his character would be invaluable for our whole squad, but particularly our younger players, and he’s absolutely delivered on that.

“He has been a huge part of the club this season and everyone, on and off the field, has loved working and playing with him.

“Gus hasn’t missed a day of training all season and is still at the very top of his game and as good as ever at the age of 39. That says everything about the man as well as the player that Gus is and everyone at the club wishes him all the very best for the future.”
