Promising Sale Sharks Academy graduate Nye Thomas has pledged his futures to the club by signing new long-term contract.
Scrum-half Nye, 21, has agreed a new deal keeping him at the club until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Nye started off at Sefton RUFC but shot to prominence in the early stages of the 2021/22 season when he made his Sharks debut just six months after completing his studies at Liverpool College.
He appeared as a second half replacement in the Gallagher Premiership fixture against Northampton Saints at the Salford Stadium, and in doing so, became the youngest Sale Sharks scrumhalf in the league’s history.
He’s since made a total of 25 first team appearances including 15 this season across the Premiership, Premiership Rugby Cup and Champions Cup. Nye said: “I feel I’ve already developed massively both on and off the pitch here, so being able to continue doing so at my local club is massive.
“It’s an exciting time to be at the club especially for a scrum half.”
