Sale Sharks have agreed a short-term deal to re-sign Wales tighthead prop WillGriff John.
The 31-year-old joins until the end of the season as cover for Nick Schonert, who underwent surgery last week on an achilles injury and will miss the rest of the current campaign.
He’ll join up with Sharks Director of Rugby Alex Sanderson’s squad immediately as they prepare for a Challenge Cup last-16 clash at Ospreys and the Run-In to the end of the Gallagher Premiership season.
John originally joined Sharks in 2017 from Championship side Doncaster and went on to make 82 appearances for the club in four seasons before joining Scarlets.
He represented Scarlets for two seasons, making 19 appearances and winning two Wales caps, before leaving to join French side Racing 92 on a short-term deal.
