Sale Sharks can confirm that women’s team captain Beth Stafford has agreed a move to Allianz Premier 15s side Bristol Bears Women.
Beth, who joined Sale Sharks Women ahead of the club’s first season in the league in 2020, will link up with the Bears ahead of the start of the 2022/23 season.
Beth said: “I am hugely grateful and proud to have had the opportunity to be a part of Sale Sharks’ first women’s side.
“I have taken great pride in being the first women’s club captain, playing alongside some incredibly talented players and I have made some great friends at this club.
“I will look back on the past two seasons with many fond memories and I wish everyone at the club every success in the future.”
Women’s Performance Lead Katy Daley-Mclean said: “Beth has been a fantastic captain and a great leader for us since the women’s team was formed.
“She’s always led from the front on and off the field and we’re all going to miss her. We wish her all the very best for her future career.”
