JP du Preez to leave Sharks

Sale Sharks can confirm that lock JP du Preez will leave the club at the end of the current Gallagher Premiership season.

South African JP joined Sharks in November 2020, and has played 20 times for the club, with his one try coming against Bath at The Rec last season.

JP joined Sharks from South African Currie Cup side the Toyota Cheetahs, where he had played 26 times across Super Rugby and the Pro14.

Standing at over 6ft 10ins, he became the third tallest player in Premiership history behind Will Carrick-Smith and Richard Metcalfe.
