International reinforcements have arrived for Sale Sharks Women!
There are eight changes made to Sharks’ starting XV from their recent Allianz Cup defeat, including a fully refreshed front row.
International trio Catie Benson (USA), Leah Lyons (IRE), and Nick James (USA) claim the jerseys numbered 1-3, with Katie Houghton earning a well earned rest on the bench having played 80-minutes last weekend.
Teleri Wyn Davis slips into the second-row alongside captain Beth Stafford to accommodate returning Scot Rachel McLachlan who starts at blind-side. After a string of impressive performances, pocket-rocket Georgie Perris-Redding retains the number-seven starting spot.
In the backs, Mhairi Grieve returns at scrum-half – an experienced hand to steady the ship. Sarah Law is also back, starting at 10 after an impressive outing for Scotland, giving Lizzie Duffy a well earned rest.
There are refreshes on both of Sharks’ wings as well, as Lisa Neumann and Lauren Delany start after starring prominently for their respective international teams over the autumn.
