Sale Sharks make eight changes to their starting XV following defeat to Leicester Tigers in round six, as Alex Sanderson names an experienced side to face Worcester Warriors at Sixways on Saturday.
Denny Solomona, Ben Curry and Coenie Oosthuizen all return to the Sale starting line-up alongside Robert and Daniel du Preez as Sanderson continues to rotate his squad heading into Gallagher Premiership round seven.
The Sharks’ Director of Rugby makes four changes to his forward pack following an abrasive afternoon at Welford Road. Bevan Rodd starts at loosehead and is joined in the Sale front-row by Tommy Taylor at hooker and Springbok Coenie Oosthuizen, who wears the number three shirt.
Jean-Pierre du Preez returns to action at lock alongside fellow countryman Lood De Jager who captains the side from second row on just his second appearance this season. Cobus Wiese moves into the back row and takes the place of Jono Ross at blindside flanker. Wiese links up with Ben Curry who will play on the open side, whilst Dan du Preez replaces twin brother Jean-Luc at number 8.
Gus Warr continues his development at scrum-half in the absence of Faf de Klerk and Raffi Quirke and is joined by the experienced Rob du Preez at fly half this weekend. The pair have the power of Rohan Janse van Rensburg at their disposal in midfield alongside the deft hands of Sam James. Marland Yarde, Denny Solomona and Luke James make up the Sharks’ back three.
Curtis Langdon, Simon McIntyre and Nick Schonert are named as front-row replacements on Saturday, with Jono Ross and Cameron Nield offering further cover in the forwards. Nye Thomas, AJ MacGinty and Arron Reed cover the backs.
