Following Sale Sharks’ Gallagher Premiership round 22 match versus Exeter Chiefs, the club’s medical team have now provided an update on the long-term injuries sustained by AJ MacGinty and Cameron Neild.
AJ MacGinty
The fly-half suffered a meniscus (knee) injury in the final minute of Sale Sharks’ match at Sandy Park on Saturday afternoon. AJ has had a successful surgery this week in order to begin his rehabilitation as soon as possible and has an estimated recovery period of 6-8 weeks.
Cameron Neild
The flanker left the field at Sandy Park on Saturday after suffering an injury to his Medial knee ligament in the 8th minute of the match and is expected to be out for the remainder of the season. Cameron’s estimated recovery period is circa 8-12 weeks.
