Team News – Sale Sharks Women v Worcester Warriors Women – Allianz Premier 15s Round 6

Sale Sharks Women make three changes to the matchday squad as they return to the Corpacq Stadium on Saturday to take on Worcester Warriors Women. Darren Lamon’s side came up just short against Gloucester-Hartpury and will be looking to go one better now back at home this weekend. Lamon will be delighted to welcome back Katy Daley-Mclean who returns from England duty, having become the stand alone 3rd highest capped England International of all time.

The influential Gwen Pyrs comes back into the matchday 23 and goes straight back in at loose head, she’s joined by Scarlett Fielding and Aisha Abu-Marzouq who both went well at Gloucester last weekend. Nicola Howat and and Teleri Wyn-Davies continue in the row and are quickly becoming one of the strongest locks partnership in the Allianz Premier 15s. The combative back row of Winter, Field and Stafford continue to build their understanding in the back row and having kept the exciting Gloucester-Hartpury back line quite last week, will be looking to do the same again on Saturday.

Lamon welcomes back the experienced half back pairing of Grieve and KDM this weekend who were both unavailable last weekend and will be looking to these two to steer the Sharks victory. The chip and chase Queen, Laura Perrin continues in the 12 shirt and is joined by the powerful Alicia Calton at 13. Alex Wallace continues on the wing with Lisa Neumann taking the spot on the other wing and they’re joined in the back three by Lauren Delany who made 100+ metres last weekend.

Lamon will be delighted with how his finishers performed last weekend and will be looking for more of the same when they take on Worcester this Saturday. The youthful duo of Daisy Hibbert-Jones and Georgie Perris-Redding will be looking to bring their pace and power when they get on. Lamon will have been really pleased with how well Jess Roberts and Jess Wooden steered the ship from 9 and 10 last weekend and will have every faith that they will be able to close out the result on Saturday.

Kick Off on Saturday will be 2:30pm and you can watch all the action via Sale Sharks’ Facebook, Twitter and You Tube channels, this has all the credentials to be another exciting affair so make sure you tune in!
