Team News – Sale Sharks Women v Bristol Bears Women – Allianz Premier 15s Round 4
Sale Sharks Women make four changes to the matchday squad that took on Saracens in round 2, as Darren Lamon’s side prepare to face Bristol Bears in a hugely anticipated fixture after two weeks off. The squad has welcomed back Katy Daley-Mclean, Lauren Delany, Gwen Pyrs, Molly Kelly and Lisa Neumann to training this week after being away on International Duty.
There’s a change in the front row as Scarlett Fielding drops to the bench and Molly Kelly makes her first start. She is joined in the starting pack, with Teleri Wyn Davies coming in for Vicky Irwin who also drops to the bench. Georgie Perris-Redding makes her first start after two impressive cameos off the bench.
In the backs, the experienced half back pairing of Grieve and Daley-Mclean remains the same but they are joined by a new centre partnership in Laura Perrin at 12 and Vicky Irwin at 13 who both make their Sharks debuts. Perrin is a former England U20 international whilst Irwin is an athletic centre who joins us from Ulster and Lamon is really excited to see how these two go this weekend.
The back three is the same as Round 1 with US Eagle Jess Wooden at 15, the very impressive Lisa Neumann on the left wing and Irish International Lauren Delany rejoining the frame after a couple of weeks away with the Irish National side.
Jamie Leigh-Bellerby comes on to the bench and will be hoping to make her Sale Sharks debut in what looks like an experienced bench with last time out starters, Irwin and Calton joining her on there.
The game will be available on a live stream which will be accessible via Sale Sharks’ Facebook and Twitter channel, Kick Off is 2:30pm.
