Sharks and Printerland announce contract extension

Altrincham-based e-tailer and the North’s only Premiership Rugby side set to build on successful partnership which began in 2004

The Printerland brand will continue to feature on the Family Stand at the AJ Bell Stadium, and the company plans to give away more free tickets to community groups

Sale Sharks have agreed an extension to their commercial partnership with the UK’s leading printer e-tailer, Printerland.

Altrincham-based Printerland have been a long-standing partner of the club having first agreed a deal back in 2004 to sponsor the Cheadle End of Sale’s former home ground at Edgeley Park, before becoming official Family Stand sponsors at the AJ Bell Stadium in 2016.

The deal will also see Printerland continue to deliver an inclusivity programme in the local region, supported by the Premiership Rugby team’s charitable arm – Sharks Community Trust.

Almost 10,000 match-day tickets have been given away to local charities in recent years by Printerland with the programme designed to introduce underrepresented groups in the North West to the game of rugby.

Mark Cueto, Sale Sharks’ Commercial Director and former player said: “Printerland have connected with Sale Sharks for a long time and I’m really pleased they’ve renewed with us again this year.

They’re a great partner with strong roots in the North West, and their corporate values really align to everything we are trying to achieve at Sale.

“The renewed deal allows us to continue to give back to the local community and deliver Printerland’s inclusivity programme on their behalf at every home game. We can’t wait to see what the new season holds, and we look forward to this partnership continuing for years to come.”

Commenting on the renewal, Graham Vickers, MD and co-founder of Printerland, said, “We place a lot of value in our ongoing partnership with Sale Sharks, and we’re very proud to continue our sponsorship of the Family Stand.

“The link up with Sale is fantastic for our brand and our staff really value the partnership, but as a business we take the most pride in the community work.

“Working with the club and its Community Trust has allowed us to use the sport of rugby to bring people together, and we love seeing the different charities and community groups that get to enjoy watching a Sale game with some of our tickets.”
