Steve Diamond has named his Sale Sharks squad to face Worcester Warriors in round five of Gallagher Premiership Rugby at Sixways tomorrow afternoon. (Kick-off 3pm)
The Sale Director of Rugby makes two changes to the match-day 23 that defeated La Rochelle in the Heineken Champions Cup last weekend.
Sam James makes his return to the squad after sustaining an injury during the Sharks 41-7 win at London Irish in round two of the Gallagher Premiership. The experienced centre replaces his younger brother Luke on the bench for this weekend’s fixture.
The only other change comes in the forwards, as Valery Morozov starts his first match of the season for Sale since returning from the Rugby World Cup. The Russian loose head swaps places with Ross Harrison in the front row and the Sharks’ most capped player moves to the replacements bench.
Commenting ahead of the clubs return to Gallagher Premiership action, Steve Diamond said: “After an exciting couple of weeks in the Heineken Champions Cup, it’s great to gete back into the Gallagher Premiership. We travel to Worcester who are one of the in-form sides in the league at the moment, so we will need to make sure we are at the top of our game on Saturday.”
